IHG Hotels & Resorts to launch Hotel Indigo Jogja in 2029

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to launch Hotel Indigo Jogja, scheduled to begin operations in 2029. The 180-room property marks the brand's entry into the Yogyakarta hospitality market, focusing on the luxury and lifestyle segment.

The project is being developed in partnership with PT Raka Eka Makmur. According to Chris Anklin, Senior Director Development for Southeast Asia & Korea at IHG Hotels & Resorts, the decision to expand into Yogyakarta is driven by the city's rich cultural heritage, creative energy, and its role as a gateway to Borobudur. The development also benefits from the connectivity provided by Yogyakarta International Airport.
