IHG offers points sale and InterContinental Ambassador membership perks

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is offering various ways for travelers to enhance their stays through its IHG One Rewards program and the InterContinental Ambassador membership.

InterContinental Ambassador members can pay US$225 annually or use 45,000 IHG Reward points to access specific perks at InterContinental-branded hotels. Benefits include a guaranteed room upgrade to the next best category, late check-out until 16:00, a $20 or €15 hotel credit per stay, and a voucher for a complimentary second night during weekend stays. If upgrades or late check-outs cannot be provided, members are entitled to US$50 credit or 10,000 points as compensation.

Additionally, IHG One Rewards has launched a points sale running until October 6, 2026. Eligible members can purchase up to 400,000 points with a 100% bonus, reducing the cost to 0.5 US cents per point. While points do not expire for elite members, entry-level Club members must earn or redeem at least one point every 12 months to prevent expiration.
