IHG One Rewards launches new points promotion and details Traveler credit card

From 20 May to 31 August 2026 IHG One Rewards ran a global promotion that awards members either 2,000 bonus points for every two nights stayed or 8,000 bonus points for every four nights, with no cap on total points earned. Registration is required before the stay, and only paid nights booked directly through IHG (minimum US$30 nightly rate) qualify; award nights and points‑and‑cash bookings do not.

The IHG One Rewards Traveler Credit Card, a no‑annual‑fee product offered through Chase, lets cardholders earn up to 17 points per US$1 on IHG hotel purchases and provides a 125,000‑point welcome bonus (90,000 points after US$2,000 spend in the first three months and 35,000 points after US$4,000 spend in the first six months). Additional perks include a fourth‑night‑free benefit on qualifying redemptions, a 20 % discount on point purchases, and automatic Silver Elite status with a path to Gold Elite. The card is positioned as a basic option for occasional IHG travelers, with the higher‑tier Premier card recommended for frequent guests.
