IHH Healthcare launches IHH Catalyst North Asia to support health startups

IHH Healthcare, the multinational hospital group, announced the launch of the IHH Catalyst | North Asia Edition. The programme is run with its subsidiaries Gleneagles Hong Kong and Parkway Shanghai and is backed by global innovation platform Plug and Play. It follows the successful Fortis India Edition that began in February 2026.

The accelerator will help startups in Hong Kong, mainland China and neighbouring markets turn patient‑centred, technology‑enabled solutions into real‑world clinical use. It focuses on personalised care, integrated and coordinated care, precision and cancer medicine, transforming patient journeys and empowering the health‑care workforce. Applications open on 27 July 2026, the shortlist is announced 11 September 2026 and a showcase event is planned for 26 January 2027.

Selected companies will receive mentorship from IHH’s senior clinicians and operational leaders, access to hospital facilities for pilot testing, regulatory and data‑protection support, and a clear pathway to longer‑term partnership and investment. Ashok Pandit, Group Chief Corporate Officer of IHH Healthcare, said the region’s vibrant health‑tech ecosystem presents a growing need for solutions that extend care beyond hospital walls and improve patient outcomes. Dr Kenneth Tsang, Regional CEO of IHH Healthcare North Asia, highlighted the increasing complexity of health challenges and the importance of cross‑disciplinary collaboration.
