IHH Healthcare Malaysia and UiTM launch youth storytelling initiative

IHH Healthcare Malaysia and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) have launched a collaborative youth-led storytelling initiative titled ‘Merdeka Through Our Eyes’. Developed in partnership with UiTM’s Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, the project invites students to interpret the meaning of Merdeka and Malaysia Day through original short films.

Dr Kamal Amzan, CEO of IHH Healthcare Malaysia, stated that the initiative aims to provide young Malaysians the space to define independence through their own creative lenses and experiences, rather than having a definition imposed upon them. The program coincides with Malaysia’s 69th Merdeka celebrations.
