IHS Cameroon maintains CFA20 billion liquidity buffer and launches digital training program

IHS Cameroon has reported significant liquidity availability and new social initiatives. According to half-year financial statements, the telecommunications infrastructure company maintained CFA20 billion in untapped credit facilities from Ecobank Cameroon and Access Bank Cameroon as of June 30, 2026. These two CFA10 billion overdraft facilities were intended for working capital needs. While IHS drew CFA669.6 million from the Ecobank facility in late 2025, both lines returned to zero balances by the end of the first half of 2026.

Separately, IHS Cameroon has entered a one-year partnership with Orange Cameroun to launch DIGIT4HER. This strategic program aims to bridge the digital and economic gender divide by providing digital, financial, and entrepreneurial training to over 200 young women. The initiative will target secondary school graduates in the Buea, Dschang, and Ngaoundéré regions to enhance employability and support sustainable business creation.
