İhsaniye documentary crew explores historical and spiritual heritage
The “Devri Alem” documentary team has commenced field studies in the İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar, Turkey. Under the theme “In the Footsteps of Evliya Çelebi,” the project aims to highlight the region's historical, cultural, and spiritual significance.
The documentary focuses on several key aspects of İhsaniye, including its role as the heart of the Phrygian Valley and its strategic importance during the Turkish War of Independence. The crew is documenting ancient rock settlements from the Phrygian, Roman, and Byzantine eras, as well as the traces of Turkish-Islamic civilization dating back to 1085.
Additionally, the production explores the area's potential for religious and health tourism. This includes visiting historical shrines such as Bahşi Baba, İdris Dede, and Karacaahmet, as well as showcasing the thermal waters of the Gazlıgöl region.
