IICOMBINED creates 13-meter animatronic dog installation
A 13-meter-long animatronic dachshund named ‘Sunshine’ has become a major attraction across several Asian cities. Created by the South Korean creative company IICOMBINED—the firm behind brands Gentle Monster and Tamburins—the hyper-realistic sculpture is designed to mimic a sleeping animal.
The installation features subtle, lifelike movements, including simulated breathing and the motion of its ears and nose. This level of detail has made it a popular subject for social media and photography.
After appearing in Seoul, the installation traveled to Bangkok and Tokyo. It is currently being showcased in Beijing, where a dedicated pop-up has been established around the figure.
