IIM Calcutta achieves 100% summer placements with record stipends

The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) has achieved 100% summer internship placements for its 63rd two-year MBA batch. The placement cycle concluded ahead of schedule, with the batch securing 546 offers for 475 students from 156 companies.

The average monthly stipend reached a record Rs 1.93 lakh, while the median monthly stipend stood at Rs 2 lakh. This marks an increase from the 62nd batch, which saw an average monthly compensation of Rs 1.85 lakh.

Consulting was the primary recruiting sector, accounting for 40.29% of total offers with 220 roles. Major participating firms included McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company, Accenture Strategy, Kearney, Alvarez & Marsal, and Roland Berger. The finance sector followed with 127 offers, representing 23.26% of the total, covering fields such as investment banking, private equity, and venture capital.
