IIS Vallauri presents remote driving technology at Imola Green

Students and faculty from the IIS Vallauri institute in Fossano presented their “Driving FPV Arena” technology at the Imola Green international event held from September 25 to 28, 2026.

The technology is an advanced remote driving system that allows a user to maneuver a radio-controlled car using a simulator equipped with a steering wheel and pedals, paired with an FPV (first-person view) headset for an immersive experience. Developed entirely within the Vallauri laboratories, the system features low-latency command transmission.

The project involved the complete development cycle, including data flow management, electronic circuit design, and mechanical components. Potential future applications for this technology include modeling, civil protection operations, and agriculture in hazardous or inaccessible environments. During the event, an electronic board created by the Fossano team was successfully installed on a model car designed by students from the IIS Ferrari in Maranello, making the vehicle operational for remote driving in under thirty minutes.
