IISER Tirupati announces Research Associate vacancy in Life Sciences
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati has announced a vacancy for a Research Associate-1 position on a contract basis. The role is part of a project titled ‘Deciphering the sequence and structural signatures of the product specificity of Protein Arginine Methyl Transferases in health and disease’, led by Principal Investigator Dr. Sreenivas Chavali.
The position focuses on Cell and Molecular Systems Biology and requires candidates to conduct research involving Omics-Proteomics, PTM-proteomics, NGS sequencing, and tissue microarrays. Desirable skills include experience with primary cell lines and CRISPR Cas9 based genome editing.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in any area of Life Sciences, though those who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting the award may also apply. The tenure is temporary for six months, and candidates must be no more than 35 years of age. Monthly compensation is structured based on Ph.D. status, offering up to Rs. 58,000 plus 10% HRA for Ph.D. holders, or Rs. 42,000 plus 10% HRA for those awaiting their degree.
