IIT Bombay's Koha Orientation Programme and Global Library Management Diploma Announced

A new Graduate Diploma in Information Management with a specialisation in Library and Information Management has been launched. Developed with industry partners, the programme offers courses on cataloguing, digital archives, metadata, and information technology, plus a practical fieldwork project, preparing graduates for roles in public, school, academic, health or law libraries worldwide.

In conjunction with National Librarian's Day, the FOSSEE Project at IIT Bombay is hosting a free online Koha Orientation Programme on 11 August 2026. The event will introduce librarians, library professionals, faculty and LIS students to Koha, the leading open‑source Integrated Library Management System, and demonstrate how it can modernise library operations and improve user services. Registration is required via an online form.
