IIT Madras Pravartak and Medhastra partner for defence AI

IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation, the innovation hub of IIT Madras, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hyderabad-based Medhastra Techsystems Private Limited. The partnership aims to accelerate the development of indigenous, field-ready artificial intelligence solutions for the Indian Armed Forces.

The collaboration will integrate Medhastra into the IIT Madras innovation ecosystem, facilitating joint research, faculty collaboration, laboratory access, and student engagement. The initiative is designed to bridge the gap between academic research and industrial deployment, supporting India’s strategic self-reliance and the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ vision.
