IJALVI suspends housing project in Mirador de San Isidro

The Instituto Jalisciense de la Vivienda (IJALVI) has suspended all work at a site in the Mirador de San Isidro neighborhood following a provisional judicial suspension. The legal measure was prompted by an amparo lawsuit filed by local residents.

The project, located on donated land, was intended for the construction of 200 homes for state police officers. Following the notification from a District Judge on Friday, August 21, IJALVI ordered the cessation of earthmoving activities and related studies.

In response to social media reports suggesting work was continuing, the agency clarified that activities observed on Saturday were strictly for the removal of heavy machinery, vehicles, and equipment from the subsoil. IJALVI stated it will continue to act within the legal framework and comply with all future judicial determinations regarding the case.
