IK Multimedia launches TONEX Board flagship modeler

IK Multimedia has introduced the TONEX Board, a flagship hardware floorboard modeler designed for guitarists and bassists. The device integrates the company’s AI-driven TONEX amp modeling technology with its AmpliTube multi-effects engine into a single platform.

The hardware features a dual-signal-chain architecture capable of running up to four tone models simultaneously across two separate signal paths. This allows for advanced configurations such as stereo rigs, parallel processing, and wet/dry setups. The unit is equipped with a five-inch high-resolution color touchscreen, physical control knobs, and four footswitches to facilitate intuitive editing and rig building.

Users can access a vast library of sounds, including 2,000 premium tone models included out of the box and over 60,000 additional models available via the ToneNET application. The device also includes 76 effects derived from both TONEX and AmpliTube. Connectivity options include dual stereo outputs, balanced XLR outputs, MIDI, and an expandable stereo effects loop that can be split into two mono loops.
