Ikar releases luxury edition of Boccaccio’s Decameron

The publisher Ikar has released a new luxury edition of Giovanni Boccaccio’s Renaissance masterpiece, ‘The Decameron’. This edition features illustrations by Slovak artist Zsolt Lukács, who integrated artificial intelligence with traditional techniques to create the artwork.

The luxury version is a limited edition of 200 copies, featuring hand-numbered pages by a calligrapher, brown leather binding, and an original linocut by Lukács. To ensure broader accessibility, a standard version of the text is also available. The work, originally written in response to the plague in Florence, remains a significant literary milestone.
