Ikaria hosts poetry evening for Maria Moula’s new collection

A poetry event dedicated to creative expression and the power of words took place on August 16 in the Lighthouse of Ikaria. The gathering featured the presentation of Maria Moula’s new poetry collection, ‘Alma eis Vathos’ (Leap into the Depths), published by TRI. ENA of Culture.

Leona Laios, founder of The House of Gratitude, led a discussion with Moula regarding the collection’s themes, which explore the journey of consciousness from darkness and trauma toward awakening and light. Moula described poetry as a tool for self-therapy and a means to connect with the inner self. The evening also included poetry readings by local residents and recitations of works by Homer and Cavafy.
