Ikaros Publications releases Japanese passenger aircraft guide
Ikaros Publications has released the annual book ‘Japanese Passenger Aircraft 2026-2027’. The publication provides a comprehensive overview of all passenger and cargo aircraft models operated by Japanese airlines.
A primary focus of this edition is the introduction of the Boeing 737-8 (737 MAX) to domestic routes, beginning with Skymark Airlines in May 2026. The book also tracks significant shifts in fleet compositions for major carriers, such as Japan Airlines (JAL) replacing Boeing 777-300ER models with Airbus A350-1000s, and the transition from Boeing 777-300s to Boeing 787-10s for domestic routes.
The volume includes detailed catalogs for various carriers, including ANA Group, JAL Group, Skymark, AIRDO, Solaseed Air, Starflyer, and several low-cost carriers like Peach, Jetstar Japan, SPRING JAPAN, and ZIPAIR. It also covers commuter airlines such as Fuji Dream Airlines and Toki Air, alongside cargo-specific aircraft operated by JAL and ANA affiliates.
