Ikaros Publishing releases new railway-themed magazines

Ikaros Publishing has announced the release of two new specialized railway publications on October 21, 2026.

The December 2026 issue of ‘Tabi to Tetsudo’ (Travel and Railway) features a special report on railway gourmet travel. The issue explores various ways to enjoy food while traveling by train, including dining on sightseeing trains like the ‘Shimakaze’, meals in preserved vintage carriages, station cafes, and regional delicacies selected by professional railway photographers.

Additionally, the 41st volume of ‘Denki Kikansha EX’ (Electric Locomotive EX) focuses on the history and technical details of specific electric locomotives. Key features include the history of the EF65PF models at the JR West Shimonoseki Depot, the legacy of JR Central’s EF58 locomotives, and the Tokyu DEKI 3021. The publication also includes interviews with former engineers regarding locomotive operations.
