IKEA expands Polish operations through manufacturing and cultural partnerships
IKEA is expanding its presence in Poland through both industrial manufacturing and cultural partnerships. In Zbąszyn, the IKEA Industry plant has established a specialized factory for the EKET modular furniture series. To meet high demand, the facility employs approximately 300 workers and utilizes automated processes to produce lightweight, honeycomb-structured components for global distribution.
Additionally, IKEA is partnering with the upcoming ‘History of Polish Hip-Hop’ concert in Warsaw. The brand will design and provide a functional backstage area at Bemowo Airport for the event, which features JIMEK, a 70-piece orchestra, and over 40 rappers. The partnership utilizes various IKEA storage and furniture systems to organize equipment and create rest areas for the artists and production crew.
