IKEA introduces Kallax shelving unit as companion in Skyrim mod

IKEA has collaborated with Kinggath Creations to release an official free mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim titled ‘Kallax Storageborn’. This integration brings the brand’s iconic Kallax shelving unit into the game as a functional adventure companion.

Designed to help players manage heavy loot and inventory clutter, the Kallax unit acts as a mobile storage solution. The mod includes a new questline that leads players to a mysterious Dwemer establishment dedicated to furniture, where the companion can be assembled. The character is fully voiced by actor Matt Berry and can be summoned via a new shout.

Players can access the content through the Creations menu in the game. Once active, the quest is triggered by speaking to an innkeeper and receiving a promotional flyer, which initiates a mission involving a mysterious assistant.
