Ikeja Electric blames national grid shortfall for power outages

Ikeja Electric Plc has attributed recent reductions in electricity supply hours across its network to a shortfall in power allocation from the national grid. The distribution company issued a public notice stating that the lower allocation is the direct cause of the decreased supply experienced by customers.

The company expressed understanding regarding the inconvenience caused by the outages and requested patience from its customers. Management stated they are actively engaging with relevant stakeholders to improve the amount of electricity available to the network. Ikeja Electric pledged to distribute all power received from the grid as efficiently and equitably as possible and promised to provide further updates as the situation develops.
