Iker Lecuona Replaces Fermin Aldeguer for Gresini at Silverstone MotoGP
Spanish rider Fermin Aldeguer suffered a fractured T7 vertebra in practice at the Assen Grand Prix and will miss the British MotoGP round at Silverstone. Gresini Racing confirmed that he will be sidelined as a precaution, with medical clearance to resume training from 15 August and a target return for the Aragon Grand Prix (28‑30 August).
Iker Lecuona will step in for Aldeguer at Silverstone. Lecuona previously covered for Alex Marquez at the Hungarian Grand Prix, finishing seventh, and secured his first WorldSBK race win at Donington in early July. He has also signed a two‑year contract with Ducati, keeping him with the factory team until the end of 2028.
