Ikoi Hayase takes leading role in new film ‘Watashi wa Anata o Shiranai’

Actress Ikoi Hayase is taking on her first leading role in the film ‘Watashi wa Anata o Shiranai,’ directed by Ryota Nakano. Hayase portrays Asako, an 18-year-old girl seeking the truth about the man who killed her mother.

Hayase described the intensive preparation and acting sessions with co-star Kentaro Sakaguchi as a process that was “physically and mentally taxing.” She aimed to achieve a deep connection with the character to convey the complexity of Asako’s life and emotions.
