iKON member Ju-ne to enlist in South Korean military
Ju-ne, a member of the K-pop group iKON, is set to enlist in the South Korean army on August 11. He will serve as an active-duty soldier after completing basic military training at a recruit training center.
Ahead of his enlistment, Ju-ne shared photos on Instagram showing his shaved head and a military salute, captioned with “I am going, wish me well.” His agency, 143 Entertainment, announced that there will be no official public events surrounding his enlistment to prevent accidents and ensure a smooth process for soldiers and their families. Fans have been requested to refrain from visiting the training site.
Ju-ne debuted with iKON in 2015 and has also expanded his career into acting with roles in dramas such as “Bo-ra! Deborah” and “Marriage Blue.” He is the last member of the current six-member lineup of iKON to undergo mandatory military service.
