Ikorodu City players earn Super Eagles call-ups

Ikorodu City players Michael Atata and Aderemi Adeoye have received call-ups to the Nigeria Super Eagles squad. The goalkeeper and midfielder were selected for the 24-man roster for an international friendly against Russia scheduled for October 6.

Head coach Eric Chelle also named squads for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, which include matches against Madagascar on September 25 and Guinea-Bissau on September 29. The inclusion of Atata and Adeoye marks a significant milestone for Ikorodu City, highlighting the talent emerging from Nigeria’s domestic league into the national team setup.
