İŞKUR opens university preference counseling stands in Gebze and Sinop

İŞKUR and the Ministry of National Education launched free university‑preference counseling services for high‑school graduates in Turkey. At Gebze Center AVM a dedicated stand operated from 21 July to 15 August 2026, 13:30‑16:00, offering one‑on‑one guidance based on students' interests, competencies and career goals. Counselors used the DABİS (Advisor Information System) to provide data‑driven recommendations on study programs, labor‑market prospects and employment outlooks.

In Sinop, the İŞKUR provincial directorate set up a similar information stand in the city centre during the university‑selection period. The stand also employed the DABİS tool to inform students and parents about university departments, job opportunities, salary expectations and the duration of job‑search periods, aiming to help them make informed, transparent choices.

Both initiatives seek to improve the university‑placement process by supplying accurate, market‑relevant advice directly to candidates and their families.
