Ikuta Toma and Hata Mei attend Disney event in Shibuya

Actors Toma Ikuta and Mei Hata appeared at a Halloween event at Shibuya Modi to promote the upcoming Disney Animation Studios film, ‘Billy and the Beginning of Magic’ (original title: Hexed), scheduled for release in Japan on December 4.

During the event, it was announced that Toma Ikuta will make his voice acting debut as the character Beef, a sarcastic yet caring magical cat familiar. Hata, who voices the film's protagonist, Billy Doe, expressed her relief and confidence in the production after hearing Ikuta's voice recordings during the dubbing process.

The film follows Billy, a modern high school student who discovers magical powers after finding a mysterious bracelet. It marks a departure for Disney heroines as the protagonist is a contemporary teenager.
