Il Dio dell’Amore comedy to premiere on Sky Cinema

The comedy film ‘Il Dio dell’Amore’, directed by Francesco Lagi, is set to premiere on Sky Cinema and NOW. The film is scheduled to broadcast on Monday, August 17, at 21:15 on Sky Cinema Uno, with streaming availability on NOW and on-demand access in 4K for Sky customers.

Set in contemporary Rome, the film follows an intricate web of relationships among several men and women. The narrative is guided by the character Ovidio, played by Francesco Colella, an ironic and unpredictable presence who observes the protagonists like a modern god of love. The central plot focuses on Ada and Filippo, played by Isabella Ragonese and Vinicio Marchioni, a couple whose marriage faces challenges due to new encounters.

The production, which includes Cattleya, Bartlebyfilm, and Vision Distribution, has previously won Globi d’oro 2026 awards for Best Comedy and Best Soundtrack, the latter composed by Stefano Bollani.
