Il Lombardia cycling race preparations intensify in Como

Preparations are underway for the Il Lombardia cycling race in Como. UAE Team Emirates director Andrej Hauptman noted that despite the absence of Tadej Pogacar, the team remains strong with riders such as Isaac del Toro, Adam Yates, and Brandon McNulty prepared to compete. Hauptman emphasized the importance of monitoring the race early, particularly around the technical Ghisallo climb, to prevent breakaway attempts.

LaPolti VisitMalta has announced its seven-rider roster for the event, including Ludovico Crescioli and Mattia Bais. For the 120th edition of the race, Bais will use a special edition MAGMA bicycle featuring a ‘Lago & Valli’ color scheme. Developed by Lechler in collaboration with Aurum, the design is inspired by the colors of Lake Como, the race's finish location and home of title sponsor Polti.
