Il Malloppo film premieres in Italian cinemas

The new film ‘Il Malloppo’, directed by Volfango De Biasi, has premiered in approximately 300 Italian cinemas. The production, a blend of comedy, mystery, and romantic comedy elements, features a cast including Diego Abatantuono, Michele Foresta (Mago Forest), and Max Angioni.

During the national premiere held at the Apollo cinema in Ferrara, the cast and director discussed the film's production. The director noted that Ferrara, along with Tresignana and Galliera, served as an ideal natural set to showcase the beauty of the Estense city. The event was attended by local officials, including representatives from the Emilia-Romagna Film Commission, who highlighted the economic and cultural opportunities provided to the territory by such productions.

Actor Michele Foresta described Diego Abatantuono as the ‘Italian Jack Nicholson’ due to his ability to transition seamlessly between comedic and dramatic roles. While the film is currently a standalone release, the director and cast have not ruled out the possibility of developing the mystery elements into a television series.
