Il Ministero dell'Amore presented at Rome Film Fest

The film “Il Ministero dell’Amore” was presented at the 21st Rome Film Fest. Written and directed by Giacomo Ciarrapico and Luca Vendruscolo, the Prime Video original comedy follows Aldo, a parliamentary journalist played by Pif, who experiences a romantic crisis that manifests as a literal government within his own mind.

In this surreal premise, the protagonist's internal emotions are managed by a cabinet including a Prime Minister (Corrado Guzzanti), a Minister of Love (Pietro Sermonti), and an opposition (Angela Finocchiaro). The film uses the language of Italian politics to satirize personal decision-making and emotional instability. During the press conference, the cast discussed the parallels between political crises and personal ones, with Pif noting the difficulty of maintaining happiness later in life.

The film is scheduled for a worldwide streaming release on Prime Video on December 18, 2026.
