Il Paradiso delle Signore returns to Rai 1 with new season

The Italian soap opera ‘Il Paradiso delle Signore’ returns for its eleventh season on Rai 1, featuring 160 new episodes. Set in 1968, the new season explores social transformations, student movements, and the evolving role of women in society.

The narrative picks up following the death of Rosa Occhiello, leaving Marcello Barbieri deeply affected. Plotlines include Marcello’s desire for the Paradiso Donna magazine to take a stance on the Vietnam War, leading to tensions with the editorial staff. Other storylines involve political activism, family conflicts at Villa Guarnieri involving Odile, Marta, Umberto, and Adelaide, and new character introductions including Elisa Croce as the new head saleswoman.

Due to the new season, Rai 1 has adjusted its afternoon schedule. The series will now air at 16:00, immediately following ‘La Volta Buona’, which subsequently shifts the Tg1 news broadcast to 16:45.
