Il Sole 24 ORE TV launches on Italy's digital terrestrial channel 63
Il Sole 24 ORE TV began broadcasting on digital terrestrial channel 63 on 24 June 2026, following an agreement with GMH SpA of the Gruppo Sciscione. The move coincides with the channel’s first anniversary and is intended to boost its reach and advertising opportunities across connected‑TV platforms such as LG Channels, Plex, Rakuten, Samsung TV Plus, TCL and Titan.
The lineup features the daily news program “Il Punto”, the series “Confini” debuting on 25 June, and specialised shows on football, automotive, motor racing, nautical design and art‑fashion. CEO Federico Silvestri said the shift strengthens the outlet’s editorial and commercial position.
Commentary from media analyst Salvatore Gaetano highlighted the decision as proof that the terrestrial‑television remote‑control slot remains a valuable asset for news brands in Italy, offering immediate audience access and measurable advertising impact.
In parallel, the group expanded its international newsroom NextMed, launching the multilingual portal 24orenextmed.com on 22 June in Italian, English and Arabic, and introducing a podcast and a video series titled “Confini, dove il mondo cambia” to cover Mediterranean‑wide economic, geopolitical and technological trends.
