Il Tempo and Conselice host media-focused events

The Italian newspaper Il Tempo held a celebration at its Rome headquarters to mark its history and introduce a new digital platform and graphic identity. During the event, Director Daniele Capezzone defended the relevance of traditional media against claims of its decline, while former director Gianni Letta highlighted Italy’s declining birth rates and economic growth as critical national issues.

In Conselice, the second edition of the Freedom of the Press Festival is underway, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the monument to freedom of the press and clandestine printing. The program includes exhibitions, historical parades, and film screenings, culminating in a ceremony on October 1 to honor printing martyrs. The event features various local and national figures, including Mayor Andrea Sangiorgi and representatives from press freedom observatories.
