Ilaria Cucchi and Fabio Anselmo to marry in Vallefoglia

Ilaria Cucchi, a senator for Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra, and lawyer Fabio Anselmo are set to marry on August 29 in Vallefoglia, Marche. The marriage announcement follows official publications in Rome.

The couple’s relationship developed through their shared legal and civil struggle regarding the death of Ilaria’s brother, Stefano Cucchi, in 2009. Anselmo, a lawyer known for handling cases involving deaths in police custody, represented the Cucchi family during their long judicial battle to uncover the truth.

In 2019, the pair co-authored the book ‘Il coraggio e l’amore’ (The Courage and the Love), which details their decade-long fight for justice and the evolution of their personal relationship. The upcoming ceremony is expected to be a family event attended by their four children.
