Ilaria Salis faces allegations from former staff regarding office management

A document signed by former employees of European Parliament member Ilaria Salis has surfaced, alleging irregular management of her office and finances. The document, attributed to “ex workers of Ilaria Salis,” describes a “collective management” of her role and claims that staff were expected to divert portions of their salaries to support detained activists.

The allegations include the use of unfavorable contracts, such as freelance or VAT-based arrangements, and claims of receiving part of salaries “under the table.” The text further describes a toxic work environment characterized by “daily mobbing” and nonsensical orders, leading to several resignations.

This follows a legal dispute involving former collaborators Valentina Dadda and François Gelmetti, who were initially awarded 300,000 euros for dismissal without cause or notice. An appeal process for their case is scheduled to begin next month in Milan. Ilaria Salis has not confirmed the authenticity of the new document and has declined to address the specific accusations regarding her office management.
