iLaw protesters demand prosecution of 229 in Senate election fraud case

On September 13, 2026, the Internet Law Reform Dialogue (iLaw) organized a protest at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre to demand that the Election Commission of Thailand prosecute 229 individuals suspected of collusion in the Senate elections.

More than 500 participants, including political activists and members of the People's Party, attended the event. Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut, leader of the People's Party, attended the gathering in his capacity as a private citizen rather than a political party representative. He emphasized that the protesters are seeking transparency and accountability, urging the Election Commission to refer the cases to the Supreme Court for a final ruling to clear any allegations of misconduct.

The protest served as a final call to action before the Election Commission's scheduled vote on whether to prosecute the suspects.
