İlayda Nur Çürük Wins Gold at European Shooting Championships in Poland

İlayda Nur Çürük of İzmir captured the gold medal in the women’s 10 m air pistol at the 23‑Under European Shooting Championships held in Wroclaw, Poland, scoring 235.9 points. She also contributed to a bronze‑medal finish for the Turkish women’s team alongside Şimal Yılmaz and Tuğba Buğur.

The Turkish delegation amassed a total of ten medals – two gold, three silver and five bronze – across individual and team events. Other Turkish shooters earned medals, including Fahrettincan Er’s silver in the men’s 10 m air pistol and a bronze in the mixed team event.

Çürük trains with Parla Akademi Sports Club under coach Murat Örgün while studying at Gazi University’s Faculty of Sports Sciences, highlighting her dual focus on sport and education.
