Ilda Šaulić performs emotional tribute at Sabor narodne muzike

Singer Ilda Šaulić delivered an emotional performance at the Sabor narodne muzike with her song ‘Majčina molitva’ (A Mother’s Prayer). The performance was a personal tribute to her goddaughter Jasna Kodić and Jasna’s late son, Aleksandar.

Šaulić noted that the song carries deep personal weight, reflecting the grief of Aleksandar’s premature passing and a desire to keep his memory alive through music. While her godfather Mirko Kodić is aware of the song's dedication, he had not yet heard the performance. The composition was written by Mlađa Stojanović, with lyrics by Mikos Mikeli and arrangement by Aleksandar Sofronijević.
