Ilerna Lleida signs Mark Hughes and Zacharie Perrin

American forward Mark Hughes, 29, has obtained Spanish citizenship and returned to Ilerna Lleida on a two‑year contract that runs to June 2028. Hughes previously played for Girona, Estudiantes, Hamburg Towers and Real Betis, averaging 8.8 points and 2.7 rebounds in the ACB and posting strong three‑point and free‑throw percentages.

The club also reached an agreement with 21‑year‑old French pivot Zacharie Perrin, who comes from Hamburg. Director of sport Joaquín Prado highlighted Hughes' physical capacity, defensive intensity and three‑point shooting, and expressed confidence that both signings will strengthen the roster for the 2026‑27 season. The moves complete Ilerna Lleida's squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.
