Ilfov cemetery desecration: Family files criminal complaint

A woman from Satu Mare has filed a criminal complaint regarding the alleged desecration of her father's and grandparents' graves in the Căciulați cemetery, located in the Moara Vlăsiei commune, Ilfov county.

The complainant alleges that the graves were dismantled without family notification and replaced with pits. She further claims that family members discovered crosses bearing the names of the deceased, photographs, and bags suspected of containing remains in a local waste collection area.

A report has been submitted to the Buftea Prosecutor's Office and the Ilfov County Police Inspectorate, citing the crime of profaning corpses or graves. Additionally, a complaint was addressed to the leadership of the Archdiocese of Bucharest regarding the vandalism of the funerary monuments.
