Ilfov County reports 83,686 children enrolled for 2026–2027 school year

The 2026–2027 school year has commenced in Ilfov County, Romania, with 83,686 children enrolled across 302 state and private educational units and structures. This total includes children in various educational settings, separate from three specific extra-curricular institutions: the Ilfov Palace of Children and Students, the Ilfov County Center of Excellence, and the Ilfov School Sports Club.

The Ilfov County Council has reported 29 investment objectives currently in various stages, including design, contracting, execution, and finalization. In the previous year, the administration allocated over 200 million lei toward ongoing association contracts, with a significant portion dedicated to education and sports infrastructure. Completed projects include the renovation of the courtyard and sports fields at the Traian Lalescu Theoretical High School in Brănești and the expansion of the Tunari Kindergarten.
