Ilgaz fire destroys three houses and several animals

A fire in the Gazi neighborhood of the Ilgaz district in Çankırı destroyed three houses and several animals. The blaze reportedly began in a single residence for unknown reasons and quickly spread to two adjacent homes.

Firefighting teams from Çankırı city center, Korgun, and Çardaklı were dispatched to the scene. While crews managed to bring the flames under control, the fire resulted in the total loss of three homes. Additionally, two cattle—one cow and one calf—and four cats died in the incident.

Çankırı Deputy Mayor Mustafa Yazıharman inspected the site, noting the significant material damage and confirming that the fire has been extinguished. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
