İlhan Fakılı reassigned to Turkey Under-21 national team

Beşiktaş forward İlhan Fakılı has been moved from the senior Turkish national team squad to the Under-21 national team for the upcoming match against Ukraine. This decision was made through joint planning by the technical staffs of both the senior and Under-21 national teams.

The Under-21 team is currently competing in Group H of the 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifiers. Turkey currently holds second place in the group with 11 points. A result of at least one point in the away match against Ukraine will guarantee the team a spot in the play-off stage. The team is also maintaining a chance to finish as group leaders, provided that Croatia, the current leader with 13 points, fails to earn points.
