Minneapolis police raid apartment linked to Ilhan Omar’s son
Minneapolis police reportedly executed a search warrant at an apartment allegedly occupied by Adnan, the son of U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar. During the raid, officers seized firearms and ammunition.
The investigation reportedly began following a traffic stop of 22-year-old Abdulrahman Abdi, who was cited for driving without a license or proof of insurance. During the subsequent impounding of Abdi’s vehicle, police discovered a firearm. Officers later located Abdi at the apartment and arrested him without incident.
Abdi was booked into the Hennepin County Jail on a weapons charge. While reports from Alpha News link the residence to Omar’s son, police have not confirmed that Omar’s son was involved in the incident or subject to arrest.
