Ilhéus hosts free Festival de Inovação 2026 in historic downtown

The historic centre of Ilhéus, Brazil, is being reconfigured to host the Festival de Inovação 2026 from July 15‑18. Structures are being erected, notably around Praça da Catedral, to accommodate technology exhibitions, cultural shows and networking spaces.

The four‑day festival offers free programming that spans technology, entrepreneurship, education, creative economy and sustainable development. Events will be spread across multiple venues including Praça da Catedral, the Municipal Theatre, Casa de Jorge Amado and local hotels. Participants can attend debates, workshops, hands‑on experiences and exhibitions covering topics such as culture, environment, public management, tourism, gastronomy and urban development.

The event is supported by the Ilhéus municipality, the Bahia State Industry Federation (FIEB) and Sebrae Bahia, aiming to stimulate innovation, connect the public sector with business and promote new solutions for the city’s future growth.
