Ilhéus hosts tourism professionals to discuss digital tools

Tourism professionals in Ilhéus will gather on October 7 at Sebrae to discuss the digitalization of experience-based tourism. The event, themed ‘More Visibility, More Reservations: technology transforming experience tourism’, is an initiative by the Vivai marketplace in partnership with Sebrae and the Ilhéus City Hall.

The meeting aims to introduce digital tools to help guides, agencies, and other industry professionals improve the promotion of local activities and streamline processes such as reservations, payments, customer communication, and service management. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the Vivai platform, which connects travelers with local tourism experiences and service providers.

Maurício Tavares, the Municipal Secretary of Tourism, stated that the initiative is part of a series of actions to bridge the gap between the public sector and frontline tourism professionals. The program covers various sectors, including nature, rural, nautical, cultural, and ethnic tourism, as well as gastronomy and historical heritage. The event also features participation from Inspira Turismo and support from the Costa do Cacau Technical Chamber.
