Çiğli Municipality launches employment-guaranteed bakery training
Çiğli Municipality in Izmir is launching the third term of its employment-guaranteed Pastry and Bakery courses. The program is a collaborative effort involving the Izmir Chamber of Confectioners and Pastry Chefs, the Employment Vocational Training Program (IMEP), and the Çiğli Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen.
A total of 40 trainees have been selected following an interview process, consisting of 32 Turkish citizens and 8 individuals with international protection status. The training, which begins on Monday, September 7, will consist of 300 hours of both theoretical and practical instruction. Topics include dough preparation techniques, bread production, pastry applications, and hygiene standards.
Upon completion, participants will receive certificates aimed at integrating them into the workforce as qualified personnel. Çiğli Mayor Onur Emrah Yıldız emphasized that the project aims to support social inclusion and provide citizens with the professional skills necessary to secure a strong place in the labor market.
