Ilia Gruev nears Leeds return as Portugal youth team visits Bulgaria

Bulgarian international Ilia Gruev is set to be included in the Leeds United squad for their upcoming Premier League match against Crystal Palace. After recovering from a knee injury sustained in April, the 26-year-old midfielder recently returned to action with the Leeds U21 side, playing 85 minutes and providing an assist in a 4-4 draw against Middlesbrough.

Separately, the Portugal youth national team is scheduled to visit Bulgaria for European qualifying matches. The squad, which includes high-profile players such as Mateus Fernandes of Tottenham and Rodrigo Mora of Roma, will travel to Pazardzhik and Plovdiv for training sessions. The team will face Bulgaria on September 25 at the Georgi Benkovski Stadium in Pazardzhik.
